Land Acknowledgement

The Longmont Area Democrats acknowledge that Boulder Valley lies on the ancestral homelands of the Cheyenne, Arapaho and Ute nations. We affirm and honor the history, wisdom, oral traditions and resilience of Indigenous People, and pledge to collaborate in caring for the land and promoting education about their rich history. We acknowledge the genocide and cultural degradation committed against Indigenous communities and commit to fighting against further injustices. We aim to honor Indigenous Peoples’ sacred relationship to the Earth.
