Reflective Questions
The document encourages readers to consider their role as activists through the following prompts:

  • Identify what you value most.
  • Determine what is worth fighting for when defending those values.
  • Reflect on past actions that may qualify you as an activist.
  • Consider whether you are already an activist or simply have not acknowledged it yet.
  • Document personal thoughts regarding your identity as an activist.

Inspirational Quotes
The text includes several quotes intended to motivate and provide perspective on taking action:

Leonardo da Vinci: Notes that people of accomplishment do not let things happen to them, but rather “happen to things”.
Elie Wiesel:  Emphasizes the importance of taking sides, noting that silence and neutrality favor the oppressor.
Martin Luther King Jr.: Discusses transforming suffering into a creative force rather than reacting with bitterness.
Ovid: Highlights that persistence, like dripping water, hollows out stone.
Barack Obama: States that extraordinary things are achieved by ordinary people.
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings: Advises that we must decide what to do with the time given to us, rather than wishing for different circumstances.
The Talmud, as reinterpreted by Bobby Brown: Encourages individuals not to be daunted by the world’s grief, noting that while one is not obligated to complete the work, one is not free to abandon it.
