The Clerk’s last recommended day to mail your ballot is Monday, October 26 (also the last day to register to vote online, in order to be mailed a ballot). Please research, then vote your WHOLE ballot before that date. But after that date, there is still time to walk your ballot in to any Vote Center, or drop your ballot in a 24-hour drop box — which are all open until Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 7pm!

TIPS AND TALKING POINTS FOR THE 2026 ELECTION:

DO NOT sacrifice voting whole ballot for turning in your ballot early — with the help of resources you’ll find on this page, YOU CAN DO BOTH: vote whole ballot AND turn your ballot in early.

THERE ARE 2026 Ballot measures to VOTE YES ON: YES on Amendment 87 Graduated Income Tax (therefore vote NO on Prop 136!), YES on Proposition NN K-12 Education Funding, YES on Ballot Issue 7A Front Range Rail Expansion, YES on Boulder County Issue 1A Child Care, YES on 3C City of Longmont Ranked Choice Voting, and YES on City of Boulder 2L Collective Bargaining for Firefighters.

But MOST of the measures on Colorado’s 2026 ballot are HARD NO’s! Why? Because of DARK MONEY from two extremist groups: Advance Colorado (NO on Amendments 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, & 86. NO on Propositions 132 & 136.) And “Protect” Kids Colorado (NO on Propositions 133, 134, & 135).

after you vote…

ONCE YOU VOTE, SHARE YOUR RESOURCES WITH OTHERS, ESPECIALLY ON SOCIAL MEDIA! Voter education tips (where the nearest ballot drop box is, links to bocovoter.org and other election resources, October 26 being the last day to mail, etc.) are non-devisive and helpful! On social media, you’ll be reaching folks living out of state. Every state has county clerks, who manage the distribution of the ballot and setting up voting locations. And every state has a Secretary of State, who heads up elections for that state, with the county clerks following the rules set forth by their Secretary of State. Share “how we do it” here in Boulder County and Colorado, or your love of the security and access of the mail in ballot.

MENTOR A NEW VOTER, OR AN 18 YEAR-OLD, who is voting for the first time, stressing the importance of always voting in midterms — and every election, every year! Many 18 year-olds, who turn 18 during a midterm election year, don’t think about starting the habit of voting until a Presidential election. Let’s change that, and let 18 year-olds, or new voters, know that there is an election every year

PLEASE HELP OUT PRECINCT ORGANIZERS DROP VOTER GUIDES (right now) or VOTE NOTES (closer to Election Day) here in Boulder County, by looking up your precinct, and contacting your Precinct Organizer or Area Coordinator, here.

A deep dive on the Amendment 87 (YES: Graduated Income Tax) and Proposition 136 (NO!)

@thewitchofwildwood Colorado put TWO competing income tax plans on the 2026 ballot. Amendment 87 and Proposition 136 take Colorado’s tax system in very different directions… and yes, both could pass. So what happens if you vote YES on both? 🗳️ Let’s break it down. #colorado #coloradopolitics #proposition136 #ColoradoBallot #amendment87 ♬ original sound – The Witch of Wildwood
