LAD Board members Stan Gelb, Ingrid Moore and Beth Utton have compiled concrete examples of how REAL the threats to democracy are, right here in Colorado — as evidenced in how tragically wrong republican governance has gone. As Ingrid recently posted, “the next election is not about Rs versus Ds, but about democracy versus fascism.”
But there’s also GOOD NEWS: we’ll look at actual, real time fortifications of our democracy, in legislation passed by our Colorado legislators. We’ll hear from Molly Fitzpatrick, Boulder County Clerk, who will talk about the impact of 2022 voting legislation. And we’ll hear from Matt McGovern, chair of the House Majority Project, on specific races to watch in 2022 because, not only do majorities matter…

We’ll wrap up with a CLEAN spotlight — Colorado’s state legislative session ends SOON. And as always, we’ll provide ACTION ITEMS, specifically designed to keep the threats to our democracy at bay.
